Hey babe!

Thanks for chatting to us about your wedding day, We can't wait to hear more about what made your day so special! We have been obsessed with your photographer for a very long and she captured your day so incredibly perfect! IN LOVE!

First off, tell us a bit about you and your now hubby!! How did you meet, whats your love story?

We met in our 7th grade English class, Dean was my first kiss 😉 7 years later, we rekindled our middle school crush and the rest is history!

Marriage to us means promising to live your life as teammates and fight every battle together. It is agreeing to work hard at your relationship 50/50 for the rest of your lives. It’s having consistent empathy and admitting your own faults. Marriage is a live in best friend who you get to do life with.

Talk us through the proposal!! We LOVE hearing all the details!

Dean and I went on a 13 day trip to Bali in September 2019. The entire trip of course it’s on my mind, what girl goes on a vacation with her boyfriend of 5 years and doesn’t think, “omg is he gonna propose??” We are nearing the end of the trip and are out to dinner one night where they have live music playing at the restaurant. To our surprise, the band starts playing our song- Big Jet Plane. It’s not a very popular song so to hear someone play it all the way across the world was such a beautiful surprise to us. We are both tearing up at the dinner table because it was so magical, then I thought to myself “well if he had a ring he DEFINITELY would’ve gotten down on a knee just now.” So that was that and we had a great dinner. The next day, we go to a beautiful destination called Kelingking, where this incredibly shaped cliff looks over and frames the turquoise waters so uniquely. Dean grabs my hand and pulls me up to this platform looking over at the view so we could take a picture. There’s other tourists waiting their turn for photo ops so we ask one of them to take our photo, we pose a few times and I feel him turn around so I go to turn around thinking we’ll take one from the back. I start to turn, he’s on one knee and pulls out my dream ring. Everyone’s cheering for us, I was speechless and shocked! All I said with tears rolling down my face was, “are you serious!?” We’re both crying, all the strangers are hugging us, it was perfect. I still can’t believe he surprised me so dang well. I‘ll never forget it.

Tell us a little bit about your overall aesthetic/styling for the day? what were your sources of inspiration?

I wanted our wedding to feel trendy yet timeless. I focused on warm neutral tones with pops of burnt orange, terracotta, and mustard yellow. 1970’s vibes with a sprinkle of boho in there

What was your first dance song?

Dean and I danced to our song Big Jet Plane by Angus and Julia Stone. I walked down the aisle to the acoustic version.

A magical moment was opening the dance floor. After parent dances, we invited everyone out to the dance floor as September by Earth Wind and Fire played, we got engaged on the 21st of September so of course we had to start the night with that song! Everyone gathered around us and we jammed out. It was so magical being surrounded by the people you love most in this world celebrating you. That moment was pure bliss.

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

My biggest advice is try your best to take it all in as often as you can! People are not lying when they tell you your wedding day goes by in this weird hazy blur, you blink and it’s over! Enjoy every moment to the absolute best of your ability.

What was the process like working with Leave Her Wilder and purchasing your gowns online for your bridesmaids?

The process with your company was so seamless and easy. Instructions on how to place your orders were extremely thorough and fool proof. I told my girls exactly what to do and no one had any issues at all. The dresses all arrived perfectly and sooner than expected.

The girls all loved their dresses, they picked out the style themselves and everyone looked amazing. We had all different body types wearing it and it draped beautifully on everyone. The color is just drop dead gorgeous and complemented the wedding incredibly. The girls were definitely feelin' themselves in their dresses 🥰
