How you met?We met at work, we were both in sales together for a company called ADP
Marriage to us means...? Marriage to us means getting to share life with your best friend..... the goods and the bads. It means being a partner to each other throughout life, pushing and challenging each other to be the best version of ourselves that we can be. It means making our love story and our life together an adventure, every single day.
Talk us through the proposal? We were in Marrakesh in June of 2019, and Sean planned a day to a desert camp in the Agafay desert. We rode camels and relaxed by a bonfire, and that night they served us a traditional dinner in a beautiful tent with local dishes they served each course in a pot called a Tagine. The last one that I thought was the dessert, had the ring in it! He got down on one knee and proposed :) It was absolutely perfect.
Tell us a little bit about your overall aesthetic/styling for the day? I have had a mental picture/idea of what I would want my future wedding to feel and look like for years. :) When I got engaged it became a full time job/hobby, searching through pinterest boards, creating my own, stalking people's instagram accounts, etc... The first thing we decided on was the venue, once we booked The Cape and knew we were getting married outside in Cabo, I started to really narrow in on a Boho Chic vibe, lots of natural/neutral colors, a LOT of Pampas grass, tons of greens and florals, etc.....
The leave her wilder bridesmaid dresses fit perfectly with the style we were going for.
What was your first dance song? We did a surprise mash up/ dance, we started with Beyond by Leon Bridges, and then finished with a Salsa dance to Bailando (Spanish version) bt Enrique Iglesias
A memorable moment? Three things come immediately to mind-
1. When we got to say our vows that we wrote to each other at our ceremony in front of our friends and family
2. When we surprised everyone with a mariachi band at our cocktail hour
3. When we set off the surprise fireworks at our reception! Sean got to set off the detonator for the fireworks himself at the perfect time when the song Celebration came on and got the party started and the people dancing!
Any advise for our brides-to-be?Enjoy every moment and try not to stress the little things. It goes by SO fast, don't waste any time stressing over things that are out of your control or the little things that you and your guests won't remember! The things that matter are the two of you (bride & groom) and the friends, family, and loved ones you are sharing this special moment with.
What was the process like working with Leave Her Wilder and purchasing your gowns online for your bridesmaids? It was incredible from start to finish. I searched for a LONG time for a company for my bridesmaid dresses. When I found Leave her Wilder I was immediately obsessed. It was so easy to pick a color I loved, then have my bridesmaids all order different styles. So we weren't trying to buy different brands and match the color later, or all have to buy the same exact dress..... I was able to set up a wedding "group" directly with Leave her Wilder and then my girls could book and pay directly at their own pace, and code their order to our wedding group so they would ensure the dresses were all made from the same dye lot and would be the exact same color. It made the entire experience easy and seamless!
Tell us a little more about your bridesmaids. How did the Leave Her Wilder gowns fit and drape? The dresses turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I was expecting them to be beautiful, but the dresses looked SO GOOD in person. The material and shade of color was beautiful and looked like such high quality. The dresses were Boho, classy, chic, and completely flattering for my beautiful girls who all have different body types and normally different styles. They all looked stunning and the photos of the different styles next to each other were MAGIC!
