Where do you live? We live in the North Eastern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia

How did you meet your hubby? We met online when we were 16. We’ve been together for 11 years!

Marriage to us means...? To us marriage is about bringing two families together. It’s about declaring that you are willing to share your life with one another regardless of what obstacles may come your way. It’s about accepting & loving each other through the good and the bad.

Talk us through the proposal ..? On our 10 year anniversary Jarrad had booked in a little bed and breakfast for us. We arrived and I was messaging my friends, sharing photos of the beautiful location. Little did I know they were hiding in a storage cupboard only metres away. Jarrad suggested that we go on a little a walk, in the rain. I walked down a few steps to see four men dressed in suits singing “God only knows” by The Beach Boys in acapella. Jarrad proposed and my friends burst out of the cupboard to surprise me.

Tell us a little bit about your overall aesthetic/styling for the day? what were your sources of inspiration? Any must follow accounts, blogs, Pinterest pages? Right from the beginning I knew I wanted lots of earthy tones and to incorporate rust colours as much as possible. I had a vision of a vintage desert style vibe. However, most venues didn’t really fit the bill. Once we found our venue everything else just began to fall into place. I was definitely inspired by @foundcollectiveevents on Instagram and some of the beautiful weddings she had created. Our photographer @ohwild creates the most amazing elopement styling concepts which I also found super inspiring. Other than that most of the inspiration came from a ton of Pinterest searches.

What was your first dance song? “Into your arms” by Nick Cave and the Bad seeds. We saw Nick perform this live a couple of years ago and knew we needed to incorporate this song into the wedding.

Any advise for our brides-to-be? Don’t stress too much about the insignificant little details, everything has a way of working itself out. Enjoy the process and soak up every little moment on the day as it goes so quickly.

What was the process like working with Leave Her Wilder and purchasing your gowns online for your bridesmaids? The process was extremely easy! The measurements were simple to figure out and the dresses were true to size. The delivery was very fast and communication was great.

Tell us a little more about your bridesmaids. How did the Leave Her Wilder gowns fit and drape? what did you think of the hand-dyed and 100% natural fabric? What were your bridesmaids thoughts & comments on the gowns they chose/wore? One of my bridesmaids made a comment that she loved that the company caters for all body types. Another bridesmaid commented that although her dress was really low cut at the back she felt extremely comfortable and covered. Trying to find the right dress when all of your bridesmaids have very different body types was challenging, however the ability to pick and choose different styles in the same colour was amazing.
